As a Deployment Engineer here at Kobiton, you’ll be a representative of Kobiton as you perform remote or in-person installations and troubleshooting of our hardware and software systems. You will be one of the customer facing technical experts that can ensure customer satisfaction throughout the installation and deployment process. This role will involve travel, including some international travel.

This role is accountable for:
  1. Ensuring Kobiton Platform Delivery is completed to 100% for each customer
  2. Ensure individual customers are prepared and ready for each platform deployment
  3. Support cross-functional teams to ensure customers get maximum value from Kobiton
Ensure customer expectations are exceeded during the whole Kobiton Platform deployment process

**MUST LIVE IN ATLANTA AREA**

Background Experience

  • Demonstrable deep experience with:
    • Working alongside customer technical teams during the deployment and operations of software systems
    • Operating linux based software systems in many different deployment environments
    • Installing and supporting proprietary software systems in complex customer environments,
    • Issue resolution, troubleshooting and identifying root cause in complex software systems,
    • Worked with distributed deployments of custom built, on premise software which integrates with cloud service providers
    • Modern technical tools such as containerization, ansible scripting
    • Communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience with
    • Project planning, process improvement
    • Work tracking tools such as Jira
    • Creating work around to complex technical issues
    • Coding software tooling, scripts or other small programs in a common modern programming language
    • Fast growth startups

You Can Expect To Do

  • Install all our software products into complex customer environments and on a range of hardware platforms
  • Apply your strong system management skills to identify and resolve customer issues.
  • Work with customers to discover their target environments, their customization and configuration needs
  • Work cross-functionally with product, customer support, and customer success teams to ensure our customers have the best installation experience
  • You’ll install and troubleshoot our software and help customers solve problems relating to the deployment of the systems
  • Participate in retrospectives to improve our process, product and skills
  • Verify our product is working as intended within the customers’ environment
  • You’ll share any feedback from the installation with our Product and Engineering teams to improve both our and our customers’ experience
  • Travel to customer sites to perform in-person installations and troubleshooting
  • To tell us when a process isn’t working or can be improved, and then help improve it
