What You’ll Do:

As a Systems Engineer you’ll be a representative and ambassador of Kobiton as you occasionally travel to customer sites (both domestically and internationally) to perform installations and upgrades of the Kobiton software. You’ll be the team player that isn’t afraid to say “I don’t know” and pull in any assistance you might need, while also acknowledging that eventually you will be the recognized SME on all things relating to the installation and upgrade of the Kobiton software.

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deployment to customer sites as well as in Kobiton data centers goes smoothly every time, all the time.
  • Document and deliver product feedback and new requirements to ensure continuous improvement of the products and the installation process.
  • Verify the operability of product configurations within the customers' environment.
  • Serve as the technical liaison and collaborate with the engineering team to share knowledge and insight gained through customer installations.
  • Maintain relationships with partner teams and clients (internal and external) and present technical opportunities in a consulting capacity.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally

About you:
  • Strong exposure to and experience with the Linux command line.
  • An understanding of containerized applications and troubleshooting processes for them.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills, the ability to understand and troubleshoot systems and application flows, dive deep into complex problems & find their root causes
  • Curiosity to learn and assimilate technical information quickly, with enthusiasm to share and teach others.
  • Keen analytical skills and a belief that every problem has at least one solution.
  • Outgoing and comfortable working with and collaborating across various organizations and technical experience levels
  • Ability to take an assignment and successfully execute it with little oversight.
  • Enjoy working with, supporting, and teaching customers.
  • Strong ability to multitask and prioritize well in a dynamic work environment where today’s problems become tomorrow’s solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of Systems Engineering and/or Customer Success Engineering work
  • Experience troubleshooting & debugging complex software products (bonus points for experience debugging and troubleshooting hardware-enabled SaaS products)
  • Ability to diagnose system and application errors using Linux tools and commands
  • Knowledgeable in container microservices
  • Familiarity with project management tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to develop processes and methodologies
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
