Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer with strong expertise to join our engineering team in Prague. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software testing principles, hands-on experience in test automation, and a proactive approach to driving engineering best practices, including Shift-Left testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases.
  • Regularly review, update, and maintain existing regression tests to ensure they remain effective, relevant, and accurately validate the system's functionality.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
  • Conduct manual testing, when necessary, particularly for exploratory, edge cases, and ad-hoc testing.
  • Identify, log, and track defects in collaboration with the development team.
  • Work closely with developers, and other stakeholders to ensure test coverage is comprehensive and that quality is embedded throughout the development process.
  • Engage in discussions of requirements from the beginning of the development process to provide input on testability and ensure that quality considerations are integrated into the design and development phases.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., unit testing, integration testing, system testing) and expertise in advanced testing techniques (e.g., Boundary Value Analysis, Equivalence Partitioning).
  • Strong experience with automation and automated testcase design.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver difficult feedback (e.g., defects and bugs) constructively.
  • Experience with manual testing.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and integrating automated tests into pipelines.
  • Experience with Shift-Left testing and early defect detection strategies.
  • Familiarity with a programming language is a plus.
  • Tricentis Tosca knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in performance testing or security testing is a plus.
