The System Administrator for Licensing Frameworks is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of licensing systems. This role also involves extensive technical analysis to support licensing operations, compliance, and optimization efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, licensing frameworks, and technical analysis, along with skills in developing business processes, soliciting requirements, stakeholder coordination, and organizational skills.

What you'll do:

System / Application Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain licensing frameworks and systems.

  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of licensing systems.

  • Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and backups.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration and support procedures.

  • Work with vendors to resolve support cases.

Licensing Management:

  • Administer and manage software licensing agreements and compliance.

  • Track and report on software usage to ensure compliance with licensing terms.

  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve licensing issues and optimize licensing costs.

  • Develop and implement licensing policies and procedures.

Business Process Development:

  • Develop and optimize business processes related to licensing management.

  • Document and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency.

Requirements Solicitation:

  • Gather and analyze requirements from various stakeholders to ensure licensing systems meet business needs.

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Coordinate with engineering, product management, legal, and other departments to manage licensing needs and compliance.

  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any issues.

Organizational Skills:

  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines effectively.

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure licensing systems comply with relevant security standards and regulations.

  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive licensing data.

  • Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with licensing agreements and policies.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of licensing frameworks, software asset management, and compliance.

  • Proficiency in technical analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, ITIL) are a plus.

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.

  • Must be amenable to work in the US Eastern Time or 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM PH Time

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with licensing management tools (e.g., Flexera, Snow License Manager).

  • Knowledge of cloud-based licensing and subscription models.

  • Understanding of IT security best practices related to licensing data.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience in developing business processes and standard operating procedures.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proven ability to solicit requirements and coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
