Supply Wisdom: Junior DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Hybrid Position based in Bangalore

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, integrate, and maintain hosting infrastructure on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to increase productivity for development and testing teams.
  • Automate deployment processes for efficiency and reliability.
  • Set up monitoring and alerting services to ensure high availability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to build functional, scalable, fault-tolerant, and resilient platforms.
  • Create development and testing environments that are easily reproducible.
  • Serve as the point of contact for SRE activities, maintaining the health, performance, and scalability of services.
  • Support rapid deployment of features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Work in an agile setup, following Scrum and Kanban practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/master's degree in computer science, Information Science, or a related field (backgrounds in IT operations, system administration, or software development also valued).
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience as a DevOps/SRE Engineer.
  • Strong Linux fundamentals, including command line proficiency, shell scripting (Bash), networking, and file system knowledge.
  • Proficiency with Git for version control, including branching, merging, and conflict resolution.
  • 2–4 years of experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Experience automating tasks with Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred, GCP/Azure acceptable) and ability to provision/manage services.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible).
  • Knowledge of networking principles, distributed systems troubleshooting (TCP/IP), and OS operations.
  • AWS certification preferred; other relevant certifications such as HashiCorp Terraform Associate or Docker Certified Associate are a plus.
