Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Controller with deep experience in leading the accounting function and a strong grasp of GAAP, revenue recognition principles (ASC 606), and hands-on expertise managing multiple General Ledgers for international businesses (ideally US and India).

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting function of the organization, which includes revenue recognition, management reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Lead and manage the accounting function, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Oversee revenue recognition in line with ASC 606.
• Managing multiple General Ledgers for international businesses (ideally one US and one India)
• Lead external audits and ensure financial statements' accuracy.
• Oversees the month end close process ensures monthly reporting to management is accurate and timely
• Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
• Monitors departmental and organizational wide budgets for discrepancies
• Provides insights in to contract development and interpretation as it relates to revenue and expense recognition
• Ensures proper monthly, quarterly, and annual filings are completed with local, state, and federal governments
• Manage accounting software systems, particularly QuickBooks Online.

Experience & Skills:

• 10+ years of related experience required.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
• Proven experience managing audits and driving financial accuracy.
• Experience managing General Ledgers for international businesses (US and India preferred).
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
• Prior experience with fast growing, venture backed SaaS businesses
• Track record of managing a team while being willing to perform hands-on accounting tasks.
• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and transfer pricing.

Additional good to have skills:

• Public accounting background(CPA or equivalent preferred)
• Fundraising experience, including financial due diligence and investor relations.
• Experience with Bill.com, Brex, Carta
