Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to support our finance team with critical accounting functions, administrative tasks, and maintaining financial records for a US-based organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing books, particularly in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, and be proficient in QuickBooks Online and Excel. Familiarity with expense reimbursement tools like Brex is highly desirable. This role will involve key contributions to the day-to-day operations and month-end/year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP principles.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial records of the organization, including preparing and recording recurring and ad hoc journal entries.
• Generate monthly reports, prepare schedules, and ensure all reports are accurate and submitted according to monthly close deadlines.
• Ensure adherence to US GAAP accounting standards and assist in the preparation of audit schedules for financial and tax audits.
• AR management including invoicing, payment follow-ups and credit card program management
• Accounts payable including vendor payments and expense reimbursements ideally using Brex
• Compile financial data, prepare reports for further analysis, and support decision-making within the finance team.

Experience & Skills:

• 7+ years general accounting experience in a corporate environment preferably in a service/ SaaS industry
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
• Experience with expense reimbursement systems such as Brex is a strong plus.
• Track record of managing a team while being willing to perform hands-on accounting tasks.
