Description

ProxsysRx is currently recruiting for a Specialty Pharmacy Clinical and Accreditation Manager to add to our Corporate Office Team! The Specialty Pharmacy Clinical and Accreditation Manager is responsible for leading, directing, and maintaining all ProxsysRx specialty pharmacy clinical and accreditation initiatives in a manner that successfully and consistently meets pharmacy and organization objectives. This position will be responsible for creating and implementing Clinical Services for ProxsysRx’s specialty pharmacy partners as well as performing essential duties to maintain ProxsysRx’s corporate URAC Specialty Pharmacy Services accreditation status.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain Specialty Pharmacy Services in compliance with established Policies and Procedures.
  • Lead revision of Policies and Procedures as needed to meet changing accreditation requirements or process changes.
  • Leads Specialty Pharmacy Services team in successfully meeting all accreditation standards.
  • Leads ProxsysRx’s Specialty Pharmacy Oversight Committee and conducts quarterly meetings for reporting and data collection.
  • Collects, reviews, and interprets clinical and quality metrics maintained by ProxsysRx’s Specialty Pharmacy Services.
  • Develops quality improvement projects and initiates action plans for potential improvements and success in meeting accreditation standards.
  • Continuously collaborates with ProxsysRx operations team to incorporate best practices in Specialty Pharmacy Services.
  • Works with the leadership team, pharmacy staff, and external stakeholders to innovate high-quality, cost-effective Specialty Pharmacy Services delivery methods.
  • Supervises pharmacy staff involved in the Specialty Pharmacy Services workflow including hiring, training, and implementation of services including but not limited to, patient management, onboarding and continued training, information management, risk management, and successful data collection.
  • Creates and maintains clinical care plans for Specialty Pharmacy Services in each disease state managed.
  • Consistently reviews established clinical care plans for pertinent updates to disease state guidelines and updates care plans as needed.
  • Leads Specialty Pharmacy Patient Management Program and serves as Clinical Oversight for all clinical services provided by ProxsysRx specialty pharmacy clinical team.
  • Ensures outstanding customer service delivery within clinical specialty pharmacy services to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensures thorough benefits investigation and prior authorization processes are completed.
  • Ensures annual review and update of patient education material as necessary.
  • Ensures confidentiality of patient information and their records, and destruction of relevant documentation which contains patient information.
  • Coordinates, monitors, and manages specialty pharmacy clinical services while maintaining all safety and compliance regulations.
  • Develops policies and procedures for specialty pharmacy partners in compliance with accrediting bodies’ standards, dependent on which accreditation the specialty pharmacy partner is seeking.
  • Develops and maintains Clinical and Quality Oversight committee for specialty pharmacy partners and oversees quarterly meetings for metrics reporting and tracking.
  • Assists specialty pharmacy partners in development of action plans for process improvement to achieve successful compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Creates ad hoc reports for management.
  • Assists in the development and continuous improvement of a management reporting dashboard.
  • Oversees daily clinical pharmacy services and call center operations.
  • Delivers in-service training and education to staff members in a group setting.
  • Obtains pharmacist registration/licensure in additional states, as required.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Provides daily supervision of Specialty Pharmacy Services clinical and call center team in accordance with company policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Moderate travel up to 25%.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelors of Science (BS Pharm) degree from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy school required.
  • Post-graduate training (PGY-1 and/or PGY-2 completion) desirable.
  • Prior experience managing large teams is required.
  • At least three (3) years of supervisory experience in specialty pharmacy is required, along with two (2) years of relevant pharmacist experience. Specialty Pharmacy Clinical and/or Accreditation Leadership strongly preferred.
  • Current licenses in good standing to practice pharmacy in the appropriate state. Controlled Substance license and Immunization certification may also be required.
  • Broad knowledge and work experience with computerized pharmacy information and dispensing systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Self-driven individual with motivation to grow and excel within a dynamic team environment.

  • Ability and willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states in accordance with our pharmacy operating sites.
