ProxsysRx is currently recruiting a Pharmacy Technician for our new location, The Pharmacy at YRMC located inside Yuma Foothills Medical Center. This is a unique opportunity to practice outpatient pharmacy in a model that integrates the pharmacy into the patient care transition model. The Pharmacy Technician works with the Pharmacist-In-Charge in the preparation and distribution of medications. This opportunity is perfect for a pharmacy technician who enjoys interacting with their patients and who is open to broadening their pharmacy career.

Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge for adjudicating insurance claims and filling prescriptions efficiently.
• Accept written prescriptions or refill requests from patients and evaluating information for completeness and accuracy.
• Record medical histories while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Deliver quality customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests.
• Select and count appropriate medication, place in appropriate container, create pharmacy label, and places completed prescription in area for pharmacist to verify.
• Participate in pharmacy inventory audits and purchasing of medications and pharmacy supplies.

• Must have an Arizona Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the AZ Board of Pharmacy.
• Two or more years of pharmacy tech experience preferred.
• Cpht national license preferred.
• A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Strong communication skills.
