Mitratech is seeking an experienced e‑learning developer to accelerate the creation of our award‑winning Articulate Storyline courses. Reporting to the Learning Products Operations Manager, the Developer, Instructional Products will fulfill all customization work and course troubleshooting. The Developer will also assist with packaging courses and partnering with designers, product leadership, and other stakeholders to build engaging courses, as well as conduct other related duties as needed. The role is fully remote, with a strong preference for candidates based in Mexico or elsewhere in Latin America who possess near‑native fluency in U.S. English.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build world‑class Storyline courses in close collaboration with instructional designers, subject‑matter experts, and product leadership, ensuring on‑time delivery and adherence to design specifications.
  • Implement client specific customizations of existing courses
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Storyline output, LMS/LRS interoperability (SCORM 1.2/2004, xAPI, cmi5), and cross‑browser/device compatibility.
  • Import translated text, audio, and video for localized course versions; conduct thorough QA passes to verify language accuracy, interactivity, and visual consistency.
  • Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives: accelerate build/publishing workflows, refine development standards, and document best practices.
  • Assist in onboarding and mentoring contract developers as workload scales; uphold agile practices and sprint commitments.
  • Review and implement design changes

Requirements & Skills:

  • 3+ years of hands‑on development experience with Articulate Storyline, including advanced triggers and variables.
  • Demonstrated expertise packaging and publishing Articulate Storyline courses
  • Strong attention to detail, with demonstrated record of improving usability, visual consistency, and accessibility (WCAG, etc.) in courseware.
  • High level of written and spoken U.S. English fluency; Spanish, Portuguese, or French a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously from a remote location and overlap at least four hours with U.S. Pacific Time.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and time‑management skills.
  • Relevant design expertise in visual, instructional, motion graphics, and UI/UX strongly desired.

Nice to Haves:

  • Proficiency in web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON) and media optimization.
  • Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and project‑management tools (Asana, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting SCORM 1.2/2004, xAPI, and cmi5 content in major LMSs.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, computer science, multimedia, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
