Job Description

The Prevalent Report Analyst will be working as part of the Professional Services Team, a dynamic and multi skilled team delivering client facing professional services and solutions across a range of service deliverables.

The Technical Solutions Team (part of Prevalent Professional Services) at Prevalent is responsible for the maintenance and delivery of custom-built reports, dashboards, and KPIs/KRIs metrics for Prevalent’s client base. In collaboration with Project Leads and Professional Services Consultants, the Reporting Analyst will collaborate with clients to identify reporting requirements, converting of these requirements into technical use cases and develop working reporting solutions. Additionally, the Reporting Analyst will function as a first line response resource for both off-the-shelf and custom-built reports that are currently in use by Prevalent’s clients.

In addition to the core responsibilities, the Reporting Analyst may be assigned internal reporting and/or data analytics projects where the Reporting Analyst will work in conjunction with the Product Team to enhance and optimize Prevalent’s reporting offerings. These projects will be designed, managed, tested, and maintained by the Reporting Analyst with additional Prevalent resources assisting where needed.

You will need to be able to learn and be confident in the use of new technologies to include SaaS software and third-party reporting tools. Have the ability to quickly understand data driven workflows and identify workflow data points to drive downstream reporting. The Reporting Analyst will also need to have high-level conceptual understanding of relational databases, ability to understand and write SQL statements, and familiarity with reporting methodologies and best practices.

The Reporting Analyst must be able to support multiple concurrent projects. There is an emphasis on being dynamic, flexible and to be able to think outside of the box while maintaining a logical and methodical approach.

The role is pre-dominantly home based, but there remains the requirement and ability to travel to conduct onsite client meetings as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to act in a reporting consulting role to convert client reporting requirements into technical user stories
  • Design and develop Amazon Quicksight reports and dashboards per requirements
  • Work with clients to identify requirement gaps and communicate recommended solutions to both clients and internal teams
  • Define UAT testing criteria and to assist clients with testing procedures and results confirmation
  • Support client inquiries and troubleshooting during post solution delivery
  • Maintain delivered reporting solutions by identifying and solutioning project issues and enhancements
  • Work independently but collaboratively within the Professional Services, Technical Solutions and Development Teams
  • Identify and shape process improvements opportunities
  • Ensuring that all project related documentation is up to date
Key Experience, Skills and Education
  • 3+ years in business intelligence, analytics, reporting writing, or professional services
  • Experience in converting data into actionable dashboard/reports, visualizations, and metrics
  • General technical background in reporting tools, RDBMS, and application data flows
  • Experienced in risk management or TPRM related roles is an advantage
  • Experienced in delivering client-facing services in industry related organizations
  • Qualifications or degree level education in applicable subjects
  • Firm understanding Relational Databases, Amazon Auora a plus
  • Firm understanding of SQL to include select statements and table joins
  • Previous experience with Amazon Quicksight or similar reporting tools such as Tableau, PowerBi, Qlik Sense, Logi Analytics, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interface with clients confidently and professionally
  • Natural ability to learn and use new technology
  • Ability to work independently in line with defined and tight timescales
  • Ability to be manage a workload of several client engagements at once
  • Initiative-taking, self-driven mentality, keen to improve and refine
