About the Partner Success Manager Role
The Strategic Partnerships Manager role is pivotal to FieldPulse’s efforts to expand its partnerships ecosystem and reinforce its best-in-class position within field services. In this role, you’ll own a unique partnership channel for which you’ll source and acquire new Partner relationships. You’ll work closely with our team of Partner Success Managers (PSMs) to vet new partnership opportunities, modeling the impact to the business, and creating collaborative go-to-market (GTM) plans emphasizing mutual success. You’ll own the Partner relationship from first contact to signature, ensuring a smooth transition from negotiation through to activation. This a truly cross-functional role, as you’ll be working closely alongside other teams to ensure we’re targeting and acquiring Partners that are additive to the business and complement our overall strategic objectives.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop a comprehensive strategy for your partnership channel, from identifying the ideal customer profile (ICP) to the strategies and tactics you employ to discover and acquire new partnerships
- Build, manage, and maintain a pipeline of partnership opportunities within your respective channel
- Collaborate with the Partner Success Managers to qualify new Partner opportunities
- Perform financial feasibility modeling of new partnership opportunities
- Build mutual success plans in tandem with our Partners that contribute meaningfully to our shared objectives
- Negotiate favorable arrangements for all parties, emphasizing FieldPulse platform subscriber growth
- Solicit feedback from internal teams that informs the direction of your partnership channel acquisition strategy
- Iterate and evolve your partnership channel strategy over time, adapting to changing circumstances, market conditions, and shifting business objectives
- Network within the industry and your respective partnership channel, fostering meaningful relationships while promoting the FieldPulse brand
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or a closely adjacent role
- Self-starter, no need for micro-management or tedious follow-up. You know what you need to do and you can map out how to get there. You have the wisdom to ask for help when you need it and you’re not afraid to ask.
- A high degree of comfort with the uncomfortable - cold calling, cold emailing, asking probing questions and asking for the close
- Ability to connect deeply with people, building lasting relationships with mutual trust and a shared vision for success at the highest levels within an organization
- Ability to construct a narrative around your vision and the supporting data, securing stakeholder buy-in
- A depth of technical understanding where you’re comfortable discussing realistic possibilities but know when an expert is required. You can make sense of what’s possible with an API, and connect those possibilities with favorable business outcomes.
- Comprehensive understanding of the financial metrics that define success, and the actions that directly impact those metrics
- Agile enough to pivot quickly, adapting to dynamic situations and circumstances
- Strong attention to detail, situational awareness, and highly developed organization skills
- Foundational knowledge and experience with core productivity suites (Office, Google, etc.)
- Ability to analyze, manipulate, and effectively leverage data to achieve your objectives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen ability to influence stakeholders
Nice To Haves:
- Moderate Salesforce CRM proficiency
- A developed personal operating system (i.e. Notion, Obsidian, Evernote, etc.)
- Experience with project management platforms like Monday.com or Asana
- Advanced proficiency with core productivity suites (Office, Google, etc.)
- Working understanding of AI concepts, tools, and applications
